Project Description:
Students would use maps, route planning, temporal (dates/times) characteristics, and several digital resources, to aid CityBus plans! You can be a pioneer as CityBus leverages several data systems to study complex transportation plans. Graduate and undergraduate students from all backgrounds are welcome to work collaboratively on this project!
The students will work with CityBus to study:
- large planned developments in West Lafayette (SK Hynix), and
- Lafayette/Tippecanoe County development corridor along I-65
How will those developments, as well as housing and workforce needs, integrate into the existing transportation system?
- roads
- transit methods
- bike routes
- pedestrian paths
Students may analyze both the existing and the potential transportation modes, including:
- single occupancy vehicles (SOV)
- bus
- microtransit, and
- AI / connected and autonomous vehicles
