Project Description:
Stratolaunch would like students to explore and compare various tools related to flight simulation – 3 separate sub-teams will work independently, with necessary cross-collaboration, to complete the following research priorities:
- CHEETAS – ingest, data visualization, manipulation, etc.
- This is a government-developed time-series data framework that Stratolaunch has interest in using; students should help Stratolaunch develop a set of tools to work with CHEETAS
- Stratolaunch will give students access to a CHEETAS instance

- CFD – Wind Tunnel Similitude document
- A primer for any stakeholders (SME, wind tunnel hardware, CFD, HPC, etc.) on the goals, methods, and considerations of matching CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to Wind Tunnel data
- Bespoke tools – visualization, LLMs, etc.
- Continuation of previous year’s Achieving Hypersonic Similitude project
